that would be only a compliment on clapton's side. All of them are on the same level! If you read Allmans or srv' bio you'd see the same thing vice versa. All of them are brilliant guitartists. that is all to it man.

i saw robin ford at the blind pig in ann arbor michigan .. he played a "whitish" tele all nite long. fantastic show but the real freak treat was roy rodgers who opened for him. had never heard of this slide virtuoso, and that just reminded me to look him up on youtube .. :)

He's Tom Brechtlien, bass is Roscoe Beck. GREAT players from Robben's Blue Line period. In my opinion the best band he's ever had.

The guitar he is playing here is a Fender Robben Ford with humbuckers-there is a clip on here where he explains about the development of it-an attempt to get a bright les Paul'ish sound, but lighter to handle-I beieve RF uses a combo of Dumble/Fender Twin rig, with processors.
