Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon the second fight between these two. Very technical fight. This is the best realistic fight I've ever seen (last fight in Fist of Legend is kinda close). Yuen Woo ping is a genious.
edit: in response to some of you, yes, this fight i think is realistic in terms of them not doing anything that impossible (except for the little flying pushback at one part) and them using real wushu style attacking/defense. if you say it isn't realistic cause it lasts too long, who's to say that
two people can't be so skilled that a sword battle would last a long time before someone connects a hit?

| Watching these 2 girls fight makes those Star Wars laser fights look like they're Disney-made for 10 year olds to watch. I'm not a martial arts film fan at all but the fight scenes in this movie, especially this one, has to rank as one of the best ever in cinema, they are intense, real and so well choreographed! |

| when the red plumage/cloth is on the weapon it distracts from what is really going on. to a novice fighter one would look at the red instead of the blade, or implement of death used against him. |

| well, I hate the end of this movie, where Ziyi jumps off the cliff and supposedly doesn't die, but at the same time was never seen again, that makes no sense. I don't like Zhang Yimou movies like Hero and Flying Daggers cause of the "cntent", Curse of the Golden Flower is better but still a little dumb. |

| about the end of the movie--i mean CTHD of ang lee's ,well ,it is just a kind of metephor to show the actress's return to her true and kind spirit ,means that she is saved .of course there is no reasom to be alive from jumping off the cliffs ,but that is poetic to reveal the determination to go back and end all the thingsthat trapping and troubling in the movie as well as in the social norms. |
