Rashid Khalidi was born and raised in the USA, was in a secret society in Yale (the same one Bushes' great grandfather was in...Wolf's Head) and is secular. His parents married in a New York Church. His mom was a practicing palestinian christian, and his dad was an atheist 'muslim'. Rashid does not identify as muslim. And, being born and raised in the US (born in 1950) - he's as American as anyone else. He defends palestinian rights - mainly because both parents were kicked off their land.
