You're right, I don't really care about the lyrics, only I like to read them because they sometimes add something to the song. I was just curious about the language of the song since I can speak Freanch, English, Spanish and German and I still can't seem to figure them out!

The island in the west was O'Brasail (Hi Brasyl), a different mythological but mortal kingdom far to the west of Europe.

Thanks. Ya, you can say that again. Alcest was first started around 2000 with a demo "Tristesse Hivernale", which was traditional black metal if I remember correct. Later, Neige decided to use this project to express something else, so Le Secret (EP) came out in 2005, which was a shift for Alcest.

But when Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde was released in 2007, the music was totally changed and turned out to be this way. I would say this is Romantic Black Metal!
(BTW, Neige still involves in other pure black metal bands as a guitar player.)
