If you don't want to have kids, stop making them. Especially if you don't think enough of the woman to marry her. Women aren't the only ones who can get fixed. Men can as well. It's cheaper and less evasive than the woman's procedure.

Men don't make kids God does. Marriage used to be known as holy matrimony and when WOMEN broke that off with no-fault divorce and disrespecting the institution of fatherhood all bets are off. You want child support, I'll pay to have my children with me ANY TIME, you want to keep a dad away from his kids and still make him pay, no way. If mom loves the kids so much she should want them to see their DAD, money or not - child support is way more than money and women

Ya a deadbeat dad hurts his kids, so does a mom who makes it nearly impossible to see his kids. So does a mom who says, "sure you can have the kids this weekend" and then when I pick them up and leave she calls the police saying they were abducted. So does a mom who tells the kids lies like "daddy broke into our house". So does a mom who spends all the child support payments on her boyfriend.

billcountry: Do you really think that custodial parents don't work?? I worked two jobs for 8 years as a single parent. How does that make me, a custodial parent, a deadbeat? My ex-huband is the deadbeat. He won't even show up in court anymore because he knows they will take him straight to jail. Parents who refuse to help care for the kids that they made, are selfish, self-centered, losers.

Really? If a father loves his child so much, then wouldn't he want that child to have the best? Wouldn't he want that child to have nice clothes, school supplies, food, a place to live, a college education? That's what love is. If a man doesn't want to financially support his own child, then he should have a vasectomy.

She probably walked away (with the kids) because her husband was abusive, slept around, drank to damn much, or didn't want to work. Regardless if the mother leaves the father, he can still spend time with his kids. He can still send Christmas and Birthday presents. He can still pick up the phone and call. He can still make sure that they have what they need to go to school.

jacknife10000: You're right, what your kids mother does is absolutely wrong, and she should get arrested for filing a false report. Not all custodial parents are like this. I encourage my ex-husband to come and see his child. I encourage him to call. But he refuses. When our child was an infant, I would BRING the baby to him. Then he would have his father watch her while he went out for hours.

you know.....i can assure than 99.9 % of so called "deadbeat dads" would be with there kids 24/7 if they were allowed.
the law is totally against the man ever having any contact...with the exeption of a few hours every few weeks... and even then it is not enforced. the system is totally wrong. rap star 50 cent pays over 20 grand per month for one 11 year old kid. tell me... is that money ONLY being spent on the
child. of course not - 99% of that money goes to moms lifestyle.

Mad4malagatani, what are you talking about?? I asked about your statement "Men don't make kids, God does". Where did the subject about homosexuality come from? Yes, it takes two parents to raise a child, but you can't do that w/o money. You can't keep a roof over your children's heads for free. Neither do they eat for free. It takes a lot of money to raise kids, and that's just the way that it is. If you feel so strongly about this, then you should make arrangements to not have any children.

southperth22, I don't understand why people are so adament about childsupport being spent mostly on the mom. Of course if you're talking about 50's ex, you might be right. Custodial parents who get that much CS probably don't even work. I have my CS go directly into a separate checking acct, so that it doesn't get spent on anything other than my child's personal needs. Everything else comes out of my paycheck. NOT ALL custodial parents are scammers.

I don't know about that. The court system has told my son's father he doesn't have to put any money toward child care...so I can hold a job, instead I have to pay a daycare between 100-200 a week so I can work, yet he can go to work and go out whenever he wants, and he was only ordered to pay 250 a month which doesn't even cover half of what a child needs...I used to call my son's father to come see him and I canceled all my plans so he could come when convienient for him...he never showed up.

maybe there is a reason that the father isnt allowed to be with their child. If they can't help support them that pretty much shows right there they dont give a shit. i agree totally that a father should work hard support there child in full.
but even when u do pay your child support in full, give the mother total respect and act like a reasonable person, the us court system is still totally against you being able to be a REAL DAD... instead u get to be a 10% DAD because your only allowed to see your kid every other week and mabey a few weeks in summer.
that makes u a 10 % dad - because 90 % of the time your child is calling your ex's new man "daddy" -

The dads who want to be there for their kids are doing it unless they are being stopped legally or otherwise,there are women who totally abuse men but the outstanding majority are living in poverty, we all know the numbers. Having a father present in the household has often been the most destructive influence in a childs life thru violence and abuse its ridiculous to assume that having a dad present makes it all ok, pure bs.Most women are economic slaves if men don't take their responsability.
