I have a Masters in Anthropology and two years of Middle Eastern Studies, so I'm not just somebody with an opinion. I know what I am talking about and can provide you proof of my claims. I just read your post, and i agree with you on the issue, but you are taking them backword, let me put it in this context,
Honor killing is built in the law in Jordan ( one of the strongest allies of the US), and Female Genital mutilation is the biggest issue in egypt which is another huge allies to the US, and both of these issues became bigger in Iraq after the conservative government that got set in Iraq under the
name of scared majority vote.

Inyousif, the changes to the Iraqi government have led to some problems, which should be expected anytime a governmental change takes place, but I think it's a bit of a stretch to blame the government for an increase of the dehumanization of women considering it's been going on for many hundreds of years. Crimes against women may indeed have risen due to the war, but I fail to make the link directly to the government.
