I think people have to understand the class of actors. Kamal is perhaps the greatest actor ever to grace the Indian film industry. (similar issues with Shivaji and MGR?)Kamal has proved with his roles that he is happy not to look for the big dollar(or rupee) but act for the acting, challenge the norms his movies have bombed and also made a lot of money.
Whereas Rajini is good...he was an actor for the mass public..great for 2 and 1/2 hours of escapism etc.
Just enjoy both guys...

Chrismala, Agreed with your stats regarding rajinis pay..but there is also something called "Quality"..Kamal is synonymous with Quality..lets not get into the same with regards to Rajini...Salary does not necessarily translate into quality cinema..just my two cents..
