yes. Like a real champion.Although I still beleive he isn
´t playing at his best. To be more explicit: when Federer hits the ball using his crossed backhand consecutevly and instantly changes the direction using his parallel backhand reaching the ball the other corner, far from where his opponent is, that is amazing!that´s the real Federer! I didn´t see
that play at Flushing Meadows 2008.

his backhand isnt as consistant or reliable as it once was,it seems to find the net quite a lot.what he did do was bring a brilliant grass court game to the hard courts which is what threw djokovic and murray so much.like fed they are good baseline players but using his brilliant repertoire of shots to speed the court up as fast as it can be on grass,showed what a true genius he is.now that his confidence is back,we will be seeing more vintage federer in 2009 :)

he must recover his backhand in order to add more variations to his hits. This will surprise, disturb,dislocate or put out of order hisopponents. They all know how powerfull his forehand is which is what they are expecting. The key is to surprise them all.

i believe he will,i think his form this year had a lot to do with him regaining his strength and his self confidence.everyone doubting his ability must have made him unsure of himself,i think this win has made him stronger mentally then he has ever been,he now knows what other people say is totally irrelevant because he knows he is capable achieving what he wants to.roger has been injury free for 5 years at the top,if he remains this way he will certainly win a few more grand slams

no thank you for answering,but you are definitely right about his backhand,its far more solid,accurate and powerful then most top 20 players forehand! he could win a whole grand slam with by just returning with his backhand,in fact he mostly does as most players return serve to his backhand.the only other player who i believes natural ability comes close to roger's finesse is richard gasquet,his backhand is also very solid,its just such a pity he is so fragile
