you done the same as me.first ff i played and 2nd rpg after zelda was ff8.the story captured me.fucking brilliant story writer.then; 2.ff7 3.ff9 4.ff10 5.ff anthologies 6.ffx-2 7.ff12 you should notice that the storylines from 6 til 10 were extremely fucking good...then you should notice after 10...they get reasonably shit.this is because the original storywriter passed away 3-4 years ago

xrogelzx: Surprisingly enough, I think you just about nailed the "theme" for each of the FFs you mentioned. I'm impressed. Don't be afraid of people who bash others just because YOU prefer a different game. My favorite? FFX. But I respect your opinion of FFVIII as your favorite. They are ALL good in their own rights. As I've grown older I've expanded my realm of games outside of FF and RPGs in general, but they will never be replaced as timeless classics in my heart.

Thank for the reply peoples I really appreciated it but ya I use to play game alot when I was a high school but as I grown older thing change I'm not much into game anymore I just work and try to survive since life sux. But as peoples said that nice to hear that you still final fantasy fan til' now. Remember nothing old you can still play video game or mmorpg as you like. If someone bothering tell them this "People like you are the reason we have middle fingers" :P jk! :p good luck!

I'm pretty sure if FF7 did not come out and this is the game that came out, everyone would talk about this game. FF7 was just a great game and its just too bad that 8 had to be the game that came out after it.

i honestly didnt want to finish it... i want a sequel.. wouldnt it be nice? i mean rinoa and squall are like such a good couple. Who agrees with me?
(i kinda cried when i beat the game, you kno the lil music n squall and rinoas arms, yeah....)

in terms of fantasy plot that leave me the deepest impression and i actually read all the dialogues to understand the story. 1. 7 (for it truely deserves the title of final fantasy) 2. 10 (for the great ending that i didnt expect and kept me thinking) 3. 8 (for the most successful romance of FF that touches my heart)
