Nonsense. Nadal is only playing the shots Roger has been playing for the last 4/5 years. They are just copying his game. Nadal comes up with nothing brilliant until the other player does something then about 4 shots later Nadal does the same shot. Boring Boring Boring. Nadal is a retriever, he chases the ball down and hits the shit out of it. Thats not tennis thats just a power hitter and we have many of those coming through now. Roger did all these shots years ago,the rest are on catch up.

Its always the same and yes boring, Tsonga, Djokovic, Murray.....all big hitters. Nadal's body will be lucky to survive another 24 mths never mind 5 years. He has 12 injuries in the last 5 years and is knees are knackered, his foot and ankle strapped now constant blisters. His game is writing cheques his body cant cash. Roger is 5 years his senior with many more games and has no stress injuries. Think Nadals. managment stop working him like a donkey.

It's kind of funny how every player besides Federer is boring. Coincidence, I think not. Don't assume your opinion is the opinion of others. Alot of people enjoy Tsonga, Djoko, Rafa and other's style of play, just because you don't, doesn't mean others share that opinion. The only thing boring are your assumptions. We know you like Fed, you have nothing prove. We get it. All the shots Federer's done, have been done before too. Maybe, not with the same Federerness, but still. Everyone copies.

So quick question, is every tennis player on the planet Earth required to hit the ball like a fairy to please and pacify you? Personally, I love when he crushes the ball with his racket like he was smiting it for having the set of eggs big enough to re-enter his side of the court. See, I love it. I am a bit sick of people making Roger to be some statue to be worshiped. He may have some great shots but so do many other pros. Why is it that when other pros hit amazing shot, it's just "great shot there" but when Roger hits it, it is "majestic shot that will never be replicated"

This was one of the best games Ever!!! I respect both men, but Rafa has proven more effective this year. People who don't understand tennis see Rafa's muscles and assume he's a power player. Well you gotta have power, but Rafa's finesse and precision will become legendary. He makes less errors than anyone and has a great variety of shots. You can't get to #1, specially against Federer on brute force alone.

No question, this was the best final ever!!!! the rain came towards the end of the 3rd set for a reason, i reckon nadal would have got the 3rd set had rain not come. what roger did in the break showed his class, hes so positive and he always comes strong after rain delays, remember in 2004 when roddick was a break of serve up until rain came and he broke back

Federer is a fantastic tennis player, but i have so much respect for Nadal for hanging-in there and winning this match! Federer had all the momentum going in the 5th set, and Rafa showed some serious, serious, mental toughness! To make matter's worse, he was serving second in that 5th set,... i respect Nadal!!

Why do i have to love tennis, was the first question in my mind when Roger lost this match. Is he starting to lose his touch or is it something else... Same things went through my mind when Pat Rafter lost he's final against Goran Ivanisevic. The two players i love the most. But all respect to Rafa.
