Misleading, because nearly everyone who has looked at the problem realizes that mass deportation is not feasible. We need a consensus solution or else leave de facto amnesty and a growing problem for later. Even Romney admitted that the proposal was not amnesty and was reasonable. Beyond the large fine, it also had a background check to weed out applicants with violent and dangerous records. It also required language skills.

Yeah...language skills were required....after 12 years. Who would enforce this? The same legislators that have left our border wide open? Background check to "weed out" violent applicants. Let's see, gang members only had to "renounce" their gang membership. I'm sure the MS 13 gang members would sign up for that. Dream on...it was nothing more than a stall tactic to keep the flow of cheap labor coming.

A month
a half ago, I was let go from my job after 16 yrs. In SC
throughout the south, textiles have all but dried up. Does Graham care? NO. On June 10, SC is going to show him. If we don't, then I'm voting for whoever his Democratic opponent is, no matter where he stands on these issues. Right now, anything is better than Lindsay "Ted Kennedy" Graham. Strom Thurmond must be rolling over in his grave right now. We wouldn't have these problems had he been elected president in 1948.
