This vid was released as a TECH DEMO to show ppl what the playstation 3 could actually do... well as the video spread around, so did the rumors about SE remaking the old classic. Well, in some gamefest in japan (dont remember the name of it) an SE employeed stated that "we currently dont have plans to remake FFVII, but everything is possible" and as he stated that, he also added that "the descicion to do FFXIII was made in 3 minutes." so i quess we still have hope to see a remake

I can answer that in a couple words. Final Fantasy 7 redone for the PS3 only. If you owned a play station and had this game originally then you would understand.

Your comment shouldn't be "isnt this just eh end of Crisis Core" because this was made and released before Crisis Core. But yes, an extremely similar cutscene was presented at the end of Crisis Core, but they are clearly different.
