I know Illayaraja is a legend / genius etc etc. but to be honest, i cannot even dream to compare this with the scores of Hans zimmer, John williams etc. we have a long way to go, atleast Rahman has found the door, now we should get through it to find the next door.. |

| Hi groundstrike, having the technology and money in their hands they can do marvels. but you see cinema is greatly influenced by the people culture and customs. As far as india is concerned, the trinity god of kamal, ilayaraja and mani rathnam are real gifts. you can include AR rahman also. If we have the money and technology easily available and accessible we can also do marvels. |

| No....i think he has a point...the music cd have been more captivating! illayaraja has lost it these days....his refusal to adapt has perhaps kept him outta touch. and if his music really is timeless..then i reckon he shd be able to make powerful music even now.....and lets not confuse this with culture...powerful music is poweerful music irrespective of the culture it comes from! |
